EXCITING NEWS!!
This has to be the best week of my life..=] We have just recently reconnected with one of the families that my husband Emosi was close to while on a mission in Tahiti. (The Maihi Family) I have not met them in person but they are very special to my husband and I. The wife Marieanne was pregnant while my husband was in Tahiti and when he transferred they kept in contact and they asked him to name there baby girl which of course he named "Na'ati" LoL!..I don't think I ever met such a humble family to let a missionary name there new baby.
Anyways they finally got a laptop so finally we had a skype session. I finally saw my namesake "Na'ati" she is now 4 years old and so cute such a little diva!!..=) Well I can't understand anything they are saying cause they speak only French & Tahiti. But they talked to my husband and he was in complete shock!!!!....He called me to come in the room and he tells me to listen while he translated... they said they have been praying and thinking about us and they have been wanting to ask us something.
I am excited like any other mother except for we have a "baby Mama"...LoL!..

"If we would like to Adopt there next baby"..This was such a complete shock to me I wanted to cry so hard it was a feeling I cannot explain. I felt like this burden has been lifted off my shoulders because I felt so down all the time and hurt that I wasn't blessed with any kids. Then I felt completely overwhelmed with Love that they would just offer one of there own to a complete stranger (me) I have never met them yet just talked on the phone and finally skype but that does not count..lol. They wanted us to experience being parents... I felt so much love and of course so much Happiness ...I myself don't know if I would be able to offer such a gift like that to a couple we don't see daily.. I am still in shock that they would care about us so much to let us experience being a Mother and Father.
So I am so proud to announce that we are looking forward to adopting the next Maihi baby from Tahiti. We have told our families and they are happy for us. I don't know how to explain how I feel now. Everyday I wake with a smile on my face. This is the only subject my husband and I talk about and we have been so happy everyday.
I know to some people it may not be exciting news to hear about someone adopting a baby as it is hearing someone say I am pregnant. I never thought that we would have difficulties having a family but to me It's not how you have them It's how you love them. I will not be this babies birth mother but I will love this baby just as much as any birth mother.
"Just because it's not what you were expecting, doesn't mean it's not everything you've been waiting for".
I am excited like any other mother except for we have a "baby Mama"...LoL!..
I am so grateful for this family for giving us this opportunity. We are still in the process of everything and still doing research on the major adoption stuff but we have definitely made up our minds.
We may or may not be blessed with any other kids but this just feels so right. I am so happy at this very moment and honestly as much as I would love to have my own children nothing can break my spirits right now. I will be able to still be a mother because of a humble family in Tahiti who I know was meant to come into our lives which I know that Heavenly Father put in our lives.(He didn't just forget about us). Feeling truly blessed,Happy,grateful,Loved ect.
Can't wait!!..
OMG This literally brought tears of joy to my eyes.
ReplyDeleteI am so very happy and excited for your little family.
I just taught my FHE lesson and a quote from President Boyd K Packer made me think of you guys and I came read your blog and immediately I wanted to share it with you guys.
It says that;
President Boyd K Packer praised women who were unable to have children of their own yet sought to care for others. He said, "When I speak of mothers, I speak not only of those women who have borne children, but also of those who have fostered children born to others, and of the many women who, without children of their own, have mothered the children of others".
I was giving a lesson on responsibilities of the family and I read this and wanted to share with you his quote. I love you guys and SO VERY HAPPY for you guys.
Love this quote Vika....hope your doing good....start blogging cause I know I would love to read what Vika has to say
