Best Christmas ever!!
This has to be the best Christmas ever. My husband and I planned to stay home this Christmas so that we can have a white Christmas (which never happened anyway lol). When we got a call from my parents my dad was overjoyed to share with us the great news. He finally had overcome his bad habits and felt in his heart that he was ready to be baptized.
No one knows how it was for us growing up. My dad is the best dad ever we may not have much but he was always there for us. People always looked down on him cause he drank and smoked but if you really knew him you would know he was such a good guy would give someone a shirt off his back. I was so annoyed when people (his own family) would say stupid comments about him. It hurt me so bad but my mom never gave up she continued to take us to church and we constantly prayed for him. The best way I knew how to get to him was to lead by example which I find so hard even to this day. For some reason my dad listens and usually does what I say..lol...daddy girl I guess!!.
Our family has gone thru so much been thru ups and downs. I am so happy that my husband and I moved away from Hawaii as soon as we got married. If we didn't move I doubt my parents would ever get off that island. Moving away from Hawaii I think strengthen my little family. My parents moved to Seattle and let me tell you I've seen my dad change so much. I felt so overjoyed every time I would go and visit my dad because I was starting to see the person we knew was always there. It's such a blessing that everything we ever wanted is finally happening.
I am so grateful for my mom for showing us that if you stay on the right path and never give up even when things are bad that Heavenly Father does answer your prayers. I know Heavenly Father doesn't answer your prayers immediately but if you just continue to do what's right until that time comes he will answer them.
My testimony has grown so much by seeing my dad change and gain his testimony. I know that he will continue to do great and that he will soon seal our family for time and all eternity soon.
This will go down as the best Christmas ever. I will also be forever grateful to all of our families that came to support my dad you have no idea how happy I was to see you guys come out and support him. I was thinking just our usual circle of family would be there (just us and aunty Mele) but to see My Aunty Silia and her little family from Utah come out and Meili all the way from Alaska come out to support my dad I just wanted to cry. I will never forget that you came especially during Xmas time. I will be forever grateful for your love support.
I have been waiting for this day to come and now that everything is happening I am just taking it in day by day. So humbled by this whole experience.
Everything is going in the right direction. I couldn't ask for anything more. I have the best family, best in laws(who support and love my husband and I) , The best husband (who does more than he should and spoils me way too much) and last but not least My Heavenly Father (he leads and guides me everyday and continues to build my testimony when all fails. My greatest supporter and the only person who makes everything possible. I will do double time to pay him back for everything I am blessed with.
Now I can say this is the best Christmas and best year ever!!!
