Anniversary TRIP..(latePost)
Don't know where to start especially since it's been forever's since I've blogged. So much has gone on since my last post..
We recently went on our Anniversary Trip... We first started out in Texas my aunt asked us to help her cater this little luau she had planned for her friends with the home association. Well if you don't know us you would know we love to cook(or should I say he loves it lol)... It was a great opportunity for my husband I think he has a lot of passion when it comes to cooking so it was our chance to get a little taste of running our own little catering. It was a great experience but lets just say my aunt was not prepared with her equipment we had a full blown little catering we made everything just the 2 of us Rice,Mac Salad, Sapasui, Teri Chicken, Kalua Pig, Sweet and Sour meat balls, Guava Cake and Fruit Galore plus we had to make the drinks. Ok I thought of everything I needed but I totally forgot to ask my aunt where are we cooking. We cooked at her house and I swear 2 of her burners didn't work and we had a gas stove outside that was it. I'm still shocked we were able to do it all and thank goodness I was able to time everything perfectly it was great to put my skills to use..lol.. I think my husband was shocked cause when we usually cook at home I usually step back and let him do it cause seriously he loves cooking me on the other hand I went to school for it I'm good at it but I don't love it like I use to. It was a great experience and I honestly think we did a good job especially for just the 2 of us to cater food for about 200 people it was a great.
Well after that we flew to California to visit family we were able to visit my Moms older sister Selu and her family it was super fun to have dinner together shes my one aunt that I don't see often cause shes a workaholic. Then we spent the night at my uncles house my moms youngest brother and all his kids it was so nice to spend time with them too especially since my uncle made his famous BBQ. After that we made our last stop in Seattle we spent 2 days with my mom and dad and my sister took us out site seeing with my little nephew and niece it was a much needed trip just wished we had made it out to Hawaii to see my inlaws and my brother but I'm sure will see them soon.
Then we finally made it home and made sure we had the weekend off to make sure we relax before we go back to work.... It was nice we did too much shopping and we ate too much but it was a nice relaxing week and a half with my husband....
